Faith – do we have it?

It’s just queer why people just can’t seem to work together peacefully. Instead, what we see around us are the evils sins of human nature. Backstabbing and bootlicking, all for one damn reason – Attention. And the fact that it is so much more apparent in the working environment that I am in, it totally turns me off. I’ve seen for myself, a few classic examples, of 2 faced hypocrites who pretend to be all so friendly with you, yet turns out to harm and attack you when you’re most defenseless, of selfish people who do and say things only to their sole benefit and not thinking if hurt was transferred due to their doings, of arrogant people who turned their heads away just because they had their taste of success (which is minimal) and the list goes on…

It saddens me to see these things happening around me. But what can I do as an individual?

Nothing.

That’s what I see now. What’s right and what’s wrong? What’s real and what’s not? Can’t seem to figure them out now. But one thing I know, I’ll be in this by myself – which sadly, spells loneliness. I’ve just got to do something but again, what? Feeling extremely lost and confused right now.

Should things go back to what it was like or should I move on as a stronger person?

Updates on Pui’s 21st birthday bash. Held in a function room at Guilin View. She invited her family and her friends only. A rather small scale one, but good enough I guess. She looks stunning cos she was smiling all night. Buffet was good, the cake was the best – swensen’s ice cream cake. Slurps!
Siti didn’t make it cos’ she wasn’t feeling so well that day. That leaves me, bowling, deafy and mouse. We reached pretty late, one of the last few. Camwhored like crazy. It was fun-o-fun.

Most of us are still under immediate training with our BDMs. Facing a little pressure here and there, something that I must learn to cope with. But hey, once I get through this, I may be stronger to meet even tougher challenges out there. So, not that bad yes?

Work has been taking up a lot of my used-to-have free time. Now I lack time for my family, Mr.Cookie. and my lovely friends. I miss hanging out with all of them. Working life is so disgusting. Weekends now passes so quickly that I hardly feel anything at all. I have no chance for a light breather. Sigh. I gotta stop complaining like a small kid and learn to grow up.

So, did I mentioned, my training team mates did a steamboat dinner to celebrate our rolling out? The food was alright, I guess the company was better. Took plenty of silly and “oily” pictures (haha). Nuff’ said, pictures yes?

Then last week, I went for a very impromptu primary reunion in my primary school. Our batch was invited to attend a mooncake festival event organised of cos by the school. Gotta thank Kangtai for putting this up for us. Haven’t seen my primary school peeps (besides eileen and those who went to CTSS) ever since we splited up from primary school. It’s such a pity but hey, at least some of us managed to make an effort to go down to school for this event. And guess what? Thanks to Kangtai again, our batch was invited to start a LPS alumni. Haha. Felt very honoured and important of cos.

So, we didn’t have the chance to play with any lanterns or sparkle sticks. But, the mischievious us went up to our Primary 6 form teacher’s desk to “mess” up her table. She wasn’t around cos she was on MC so we thought leaving her a note telling her we were here would be nice. Told Kangtai to quickly organise a primary school dinner so that all of us can meet up together, of cos with Mrs Guna. Let’s hope Kangtai comes out with something soon.

Anyways, met up with the Royalties and Tok 2 weeks back (yes, super expired news now). Some of our chinese boys from our ex-class happened to be around that area, so we did a short meetup. Haha. Anyway, I’m doing this update in 2 parts due to the many many visuals that I’m gonna upload. Let’s just start off with one very joyous event, which happened I think 1 or 2 weeks back, an ex-schoolmate’s wedding. Yeah, getting hitched at an age of 22, really something that I never expect anyone I know to do, but yup, I’m really happy for her. She looks really pretty and all grown up that day, not the young little girl I know of in the past anymore.

Her wedding is also consider my first Malay wedding experience. Accompanied by Mr.Cookie. and many other ex-classmates and schoolmates, it’s like a mini reunion at no where glamorous but most importantly, a place filled with happiness and good company. Together with good and tasty authentic malay food, double happiness.

First of all, Mr.Cookie.’s grand 22nd. It’s a long story, so I’ll keep it short.

We did dinner at Furama around evening. Then took a train down to Vivo City for some short shopping. Once there, an impromptu idea struck us. We flashed our Islander pass and decided to go for a stroll at no where classy but Sentosa Island. Yes, you’ve heard it right. Though we weren’t exactly in the right attire, the night walk down the beach spells nothing but love *grins*

After that, it was a slow bus ride down to the city. We dropped by for a drink while I tried my best to stall some time (you’ll know why later). To kill boredom, I started singing and irritating Mr.Cookie. who obviously thought I was acting all cranky. We checked out Timbre which Mr.Cookie. too, agreed is a nice place. Then we sat by Singapore River, had a good chat while I secretly checked my phone for SMS updates.

Then, when I thought everything’s all set, I told Mr.Cookie. that I wanted to walk around to check out the nightlife. As we walked, I told him that one of the restaurants along the stretch has a poster with the face of a “blogger” whose site I frequently visit. Then as we passed by Hooters, I dragged him into the place. And this action obviously gave him quite a little shock.

Only when he started to look around, trying to figure out what’s happening, he saw quite a number of familiar faces. And only then he knew, uh huh, a surprise for his 22nd birthday. Just to explain a little bit here, I organised a surprise for him by gathering some of his very good friends to do a cake cutting session with him. I did it once for his 21st and this is the 2nd, just that it’s smaller scale.

Then, on the actual day, we only did dinner because Mr.Cookie.’s work only ended in the evening. We has some seafood this time and you bet, it was yummilicious. And this was when I present my 2nd surprise for him on his 22nd. He was shocked plus happy and I was just contented seeing that smile on his face. I gave him his present that I got for him. Something that he has been pinning for and I got it for him. Hehe.

Totally moodless! Roar!

Mr.Cookie.’s embarking on a new journey in his life the first thing later at 830am. I hope things work out for him and that he’ll have fun fun fun during his workshop. Speaking of which, in exactly 2 weeks, I’ll be embarking on a new journey myself too. Loads of uncertainty filled in within me but I guess it’s just something I have to overcome. Baby, bear a light hearted mindset and go through this journey with ease. We’ll be in this together okay?

Family dinner at Tung Lok just a while ago. Good food, good conversation and good company. Actually, it was a celebration for the july babies in the family (da jie and er jie). By the way, their birth dates are exactly 4 days apart, 23rd and 27th respectively. I’m not disclosing the year as I can’t bear nagging sessions from them. And and and, my er jie’s birth date is the same as Mr.Cookie.’s. What coincidence yes? Shall load the pictures tomorrow instead cos’ some of them were taken with sis’s camera.

Back home, got the poker ready for some daidee session. This time, the forfeit was – getting shoot by rubber bands. Yes, that’s how crazy it was. And yours truly was definitely not spared from getting “harmed”. Check this out.

Anyway, recently read this book titled “Damaged” by Cathy Glass. A book about a foster parent, who encountered an 8 year old foster kid, who was sexually abused and traumatised by her parents and many other outsiders (damn). It illustrated how the life of that little girl was ruined. Inhumanity. 10 out of 5 stars I’ll rate this book. Hahaha.

On a brighter note, yesterday’s celebration turned our surprisingly amazing. Something that I definitely didn’t expected. This month falls luckily on a Saturday and so we did a splendid celebration in no where classy but hot, humid and dirty Sentosa. More updates on that again.

So, what have I been up to these days? Well, aside from giving tuition every now and then, I did random dates with Mr.Cookie. too, now that he has so much free time on hand to spare before his school starts. Oh ya. We watched Kungfu Panda – which was rare cos’ Mr.Cookie. was NEVER a fan of Disney productions. Anyways, the show was good.

Then, met up with the boys for some healthy living activity. We booked a badminton court at the sports complex. Feels good to sweat it out after so long. But the aftermath of this – aching ankles and arms. Haha* That goes to show how long it’s been since my last workout. Anyhoos, it was fun to the max, especially with Tok acting retarded most of the time, really tickled my nerves alot.

SO, what have I been doing these few weeks? I think I’ve been having too much fun. Harh! What to do? Who can resist fun? Not me definitely.

Mr.Cookie. and I dropped by Haw Par Villa (HPV) the other day. Yes, Haw Par Villa. What a weird and wulu place to date. But well, we wanted to go somewhere that cost us the least since we have plans to save up. Since HPV’s admission is FOC, why not right?

As expected, you wouldn’t see a crowd in HPV, especially on a weekday afternoon. First stop was to the Courts of Hell. Mr.Cookie. commented that the chilly atmosphere was felt. By the way, admission to the Courts of Hell exhibit is a dollar per pax. Well, we saw figurines of how the Chinese believe that human beings are treated after they die and go to hell. We also saw a few boards stating the crimes human beings commit and the kind of punishment that they will be entitled to. From what I read, I told Mr.Cookie. that there’s a 99.9999999% I’ll go to hell. =( Reason, you’ll go to hell if you cheat in tests/exams and if you waste food. That’s already 2 crimes out of so many that I committed. Harh!

After HPV, we took a bus down to Queenway Shopping Centre then to Tiong Bahru for our favourite Qiji Nasi Lemak.

Then last Saturday, met up with SPAMK (minus mouse AGAIN). We had brunch at lot 1′s newly opened New York New York. Then we dropped by Choa Chu Kang Park (deafy went off early) for more camwhoring. Fun to the max.

After the match, we had a mad drive in town trying to find a good place for dinner. We wasted like don’t know how many litres of petrol. But the fun was between me and hafiz, communication with tok’s newly bought walkie talkie. Haha*

Day 1
Met Willie and Adelene at Harbourfront Centre on a pretty early Sunday morning. Went to the ticket counter and collected our travel passes before we head to MacDonald’s for brekkie. I was so excited about the trip since this was somehow my first without my family.

Went through the Singapore customs with my renewed passport *grins* and board the ferry. Was feeling jumpy throughout the trip while the rest of them napped. And before we knew it, Batam was within sight and we made our first step on this foreign ground.

The ride to the hotel was really bumpy. The roads were rather disorganised and the place really gave me an experience of a kampung lifestyle. You’ll see alot of the roadside stalls selling staple food like rice and noodles – interesting.

Reached the hotel, but we couldn’t check in yet cos’ the room wasn’t ready. So we waited at the lobby, and they served us some chilled welcome drink. The hotel is a mini replica of the Star Cruise and the concept is a mix of European and Oriental. After a while of waiting, we were issued our key cards and we took our baggages, left it in the room and off to our first stop – Megamall.

Lunch was at KFC. I only have one comment, Batam Chili is crazily spicy but it’s nice. I’m not picky when it comes to food. Still prefer Singapore’s KFC though. After lunch, we had A&W’s rootbeer float for dessert. Yummilicious! Then we shopped around. The mall was insanely crowded. They had some celebration thing happening in the mall, so, making the mall not only crowded but NOISY. Checked out the newly opened cinema and bought the tickets for Skinwalkers (some gory show that I didn’t wanna watch but went along cos I didn’t wanna be a spoilsport).

And then, as we were shopping, tragedy happened. We were walking into the hypermart, when Adelene turned to Willie and exclaimed “Why is your bag unzipped?” Willie checked his bag and realised his wallet was missing. Yeah, so he got pickpocketed. It’s such a mishap, dampened the mood a little, but we decided, the holiday must still go on. One lucky thing is that he took out all his ATM and credit cards so Willie wasn’t totally penniless.

After the movie, we decided that it was kind of late, so bought dinner and went back to the hotel.

After breakfast, it was time for some water activities. We went swimming at the hotel’s pool. The water was freaking cold and I was trembling when in the pool. My teeth couldn’t stop chattering and Mr.Cookie. had to pass me some warmth. Hahaha. But I decided to just sink myself underwater and after a while, I was swimming like a nemo *giggles* Soon, our fingers got wrinkly and we washed up before we set off to our next stop – Nagoya Plaza.

Did abit of shopping before we lunched at BFC. Ate some Ayam Soto which I felt was so so. Think Mr.Cookie.’s fried rice tasted better. A&W-ed again and did a bit of arcade before we head back to the hotel. Mr.Cookie. and I called up the massage service and we relaxed and loosened up our nerves. The traditional massage was a little painful, a little ticklish but shiok to the max. Money well spent indeed. Afterwhich, headed down to Golden Prawn for some seafood feast (the best meal excluding the hotel breakfast). The food was made fresh, serving was big, and price was cheap. Tummy satisfied and went back to the hotel.

Mr.Cookie. was so shagged, we slept rather early.

Day 3
Was among the first to wake up. Bathed and all, then packed up our baggages a little. Woke Willie and Adelene up then went for brekkie. Went back to the room to rest abit more before we check out and the driver picked us up to the ferry terminal. Decided to get a later ferry back to Singapore so that we can shop abit more. But we all know, good things must come to an end. Soon, we were on our way back to our homes, waving bye bye to the foreign land.

Anyway, my graduation was a blast, except for some “hay wires” here and there. It’s more like a gathering with friends I haven’t met ever since the last paper in the final semester. The ceremony took quite a while, which was sort of expected because Business school is so big.

All the graduands were dressed up in their pretty graduation robes, and so did I. I was joking about us looking like a fairer replica of Justice Bao. The robe, which looks really good on all graduands, was bulky as well. I accidentally stepped on my “neighbour”‘s robe on a few occasion *oops*.

Spent the following day at Bowling’s place for a totally impromptu cooking session. Initial plan was for Wild Wild Wet, but because most of them were not enthusiastic about it, so it was put off. We cooked so much food that I think we didn’t even finish half of them. But it was a really good and fun experience.

Hurting words were hurled at each other, but we all know, deep down, we never meant what was blurted out. Those words were totally unintentional and came out only in a fit of anger. We all know, at least I do. The aftermath of this – broken and shattered hearts.

I’m sorry things always have to end up the way it is. I know, the obstacles in my inner mind is obstructing smooth progression. I’m guilty for this and I have no reason to argue and put blames on you. I know you’ve done your best, providing the right amount of assurances every now and then. I repeat, the problem is about me and nothing to do with you. You’ve always done your best, but I admit I haven’t been putting in enough effort to appreciate what you have given. This traumatic barrier has been putting a toil on me. You’re absolutely right about the need to put those fears aside and move on. Yes, I’ve thought about it and judging the state that we’re in now, there is an urgent need for bad things to be thrown out of my emotional window. But I really hope to be granted some time for this.

Right now, I hope it’s not too late for this now. Happy 6 years, 8 months and a day now. Baby, I’ll always love you.

However, took time out to go to the Singapore Expo with Mr.Cookie. with a hope to hunt for some good buys. Initial plan was for the Adidas sale which was a GREAT disappointment. We dropped by the Food Expo, which was C.R.O.W.D.E.D. We had aunties squeezing their way through, cutting queues, snatching for free samples yadayadayada. Bought some fried chicken which obviously had not undergone any Q.C checks. Tried the Popular sale and Robinsons sale which was better off i.e. more walking spaces and better air to breathe. Mr.Cookie. tugged a big bag of buys from Robinsons while yours truly got some comestics and body care products. Cheap cheap cheap.

Dinner was good but I guess Mum’s crazy antics shocked Mr.Cookie. abit, right dear? haha* But Mum’s really cute with those sunglasses yes? *giggles* Well, at least we know where I inherited the craziness playfulness from.

So, on this day, Mr.Cookie. and I did Billy Bombers for lunch AGAIN. Yes, again. We had our usual dosages of cheese fries. While he had his fish and chips (again), I had a tasty treat of roasted chicken. We were so starved that we finished a table full of food in just 30 minutes. After which, we watched Harold and Kumar 2 at The Cathay. Saw a few friends along the way – Sigmund and his babe, Alan Hong, Robin and his babe. The show was so-so I feel. Not exactly the kind of show I will say “Wow” to. I wanted to catch “What Happens in Vegas” but ALL the tickets for ALL timeslots were sold out. Sadness.

After the movie, we walked down to Suntec then to Raffles City. We ate more food (remember I said I had a good appetite?) at Toastbox. I love their toasts. Very thick and fragrant.

Yesterday was Labour’s Day, which happens to fall on a Thursday, so me and Mr.Cookie. had the privilege of spending 2 consecutive days together. Loads of loving. We went to Cityhall to check out some stuffs before we dropped by Vivo City for dinner and a little bit of shopping. Managed to grab something from Topshop. Nice nice nice. Saw Renee at Vivo. She’s working at “Awfully Chocolate”. Shall drop by there someday to buy some cakes. The chocolate fudge cake looks so tempting. And since she’s working there, I think I may be able to buy it at a discounted price *hopeful*

After dinner, we went to GIANT for some grocery shopping. And guess what I bought there? Yes! You’re right. More food. Like seriously, I don’t know how much weight I’m gonna gain at this rate. I really need to control a little bit. Hor? *sigh*

I think my appetite is getting very big nowadays. I always get hungry just after a heavy meal. I kept eating junk. Even Mr.Cookie. cannot stand me. Yesterday when we were out, and I kept looking for food, Mr. Cookie. exclaimed: “CAN YOU STOP EATING!!!!!!!?????” Hahahahahaha* So mean!! Can’t even eat when I’m hungry. I guess he’s just trying to save himself from the aftermath cos’ everytime after I junked, I will whine and whine about how fat I’m getting. Hoohoohoo!!!

The weather is ridiculous these days. I sweat from a 5 mins walk from my house to the MRT station and I can’t stop getting thirsty. Global warming is CRAZY! Are we really burning up? Hmmm…

I’m so glad cos’ Mr.Cookie. and I are gonna go book tickets for our getaway trip tonight!!! Hooray!!! It’s been so long!!!!!!!!!! We ‘re only getting it tomorrow. Boo!!!!!

This weekend saw us at Tampines Ikea and GIANT Megastore. It was a long planned outing that was very delayed. Nonetheless, we made it. Ikea Alexandra is currently under some revamp, so, alot of things that we wanted to get cannot be found there. Ikea Tampines is really AMAZING. They have really huge showrooms that are spacious and pretty. All their stuffs are arranged neatly in rows and shelves which makes it easier to shop in the huge store.

After furniture shopping, we hopped over to GIANT, which is just opposite, for grocery shopping. I love grocery shopping. I like to look for interesting food that I never tried before. This GIANT practically has everything – from electrical appliances to food and non-food to sports items to CDs and DVDs to camping equipments to stationeries to storybooks and assessment books. Haha* Wonder if they are trying to compete with Popular. Bought sushi and crackers where we had a little feast in the car simply cos’ we were too hungry. Loads of fun.

Oh, did I mention I finally met Eileen for our long overdued Kbox session? Yes we did singing for close to 4 hours. Surprisingly, our throats didn’t sore after the session, which meant we actually used our diaphragms to sing, right? Hehe* We couldn’t dance around cos’ the room was simply too cold and we forgot our jackets. So, we were nearly frozen in the rooms. Eileen remarked this “Air Con free is it?” hahaha* So much of saving the earth from global warming huh?

We’re gonna miss you*

Every Wednesdays are Mr.Cookie. days, so we went downtown, as usual. We made used of the complimentary vouchers and lunched at Billy Bombers. It was a hearty lunch that left us with a big bloated stomach each after the meal. We had our usual dosages of cheese fries (all time favourite) and other main courses. I had chicken wings that are stirred fried with lots of chili and vinegar, which made the wings a bit too sourish for my liking. I had to scrape off some of the sauces and dip the chicken with loads of chili and ketchup, which made it taste better. But any lunch date with Mr.Cookie. is good even if it’s just drinking water, right?

Then we shopped around and the spendthrift me got 2 bags for myself. It was love at first sight and I got a little lecturing from Mr.Cookie. Boo! Hahaha* But at the end of the day, I was a really satisfied shopper.

My favourite days are Wednesdays and Saturdays!

Some of my friends have gotten their University Admission packages and I haven’t seen any for myself. Sigh* I can only wait, but waiting can be frustrating.

On a happier note, I got my graduation invitation. Need to remind myself to rent the robe and to get a white blouse for the event. So many things to note. How to remember like that?

We had an early celebration at Kuishinbo (correct spelling?) Suntec on Sunday. It’s some Japanese buffet, and they have almost everything you want to find in Japanese cuisine. The place is good, but the comfort not so good. The seats are very crampy and walking spaces are very narrow. The price, a bit steep, for someone who can’t eat much in buffets. Anyways, it’s for mum, so heck the price. Food wise, it’s fresh so, it’s good.

On the first day when I got sick, I woke up with a really bad, swollen eye. It was so bad I had to skip school. But, after a little more rest, the swell somehow went off by itself, but I got a terrible flu and sore throat as an exchange. Terrible. Still, this did not stop me from meeting Mr.Cookie. after school. We went down to Queensway wanting to print some materials from a book. But because of copyrights law, I didn’t print anything in the end. It’s so annoying because all I wanted to print was a few pages, not like it’s the entire book, so what copyright laws are they talking about. Urgh*** Walked around somemore, but I felt more sick, so decided to head home to visit the doc.

On Wednesday, me, bowling, Mr.Cookie., Hafiz and Shatish went down to Kallang National Stadium to watch the Lions play against the Lebanons. Deafy was supposed to join but she was ill. Poor girl. Anyways, it was a virgin experience for me. Credits to bowling for explaining the match to me. She even explained the offside rule and I finally got it. Boos to the boys for laughing at me for not knowing the rules! Hmpf!

Then yesterday, Mr.Cookie. brought me to AMK hub again because he needed to get something from a neighbourhood shop there. Once done, we took a bus to town and found alot of nice places along the way. Plans to drive there were made. Yay!! Was feeling quite terrible and having a lack of appetite because I couldn’t  stop coughing and the feeling of vomit kept coming into me. However, I did manage to finish my dinner which was amazing. But after dinner, I felt like dying. The food that went in kept wanting to make their way out again. And because of this, I saw the sweeter side of Mr.Cookie. Thanks dear.

Have been overworking for the past few weeks with minimal rest. Can see my panda eyes appearing already, so UGLY!! Eeeyer!

Anyways, my new job’s pretty interesting, although it drains about 90% of my daily energy. And because of this, my appetite seems to be getting bigger and bigger each day. However, it’s fulfilling in a way, and for me, a new kind of experience. One more week till the term ends, hopefully they extend the period for me.

There’s so many things that I wanna do but can’t because I need to save money for my year end trip with Mr.Cookie. and friends. So cannot anyhow spend money. Control control CONTROL!!

I am getting very random because I don’t know what to say. I’m having very bad cramps I think my period is coming. It’s irritating the kind of bloatedness I’m experiencing! This is one bad thing being a woman.

We were so full after dinner that our stomaches got bloated with air. I was feeling really terrible and I just kept forcing myself to burp. Until I really couldn’t take it, we decided to go back for some rest. We did soccer matches (where I witness man utd’s terrible defeat, haha), tears of the sun and some taiwan variety shows. The only thing that was lacking – midnight snacks.

Then, morning came and it’s time to say goodbye to the wonderful weekend (so can’t bear to).

A note to the love: Thanks for this wonderful weekend. Every minute spent with you always seemed so precious and memorable. And of cos the time spent together is never ever enough. I see a lifetime with you baby, ilu*

28th Feb
Met with with my poly loves (siti and bowling) for a short lunch. The rest didn’t make it cos’ it was impromptu and they already had plans on. However, as the saying goes – “whoever can come, come. whoever cannot, too bad for you”. The afternoon was a great one, with heaps of laughter and food. We ate at the food court and desserts at Swensen’s again! We spent quite some time there, talking and playing and of cos’ taking pictures.

After we got sick of the place, we left and went to the nearby library to chill. We sat on tiny benches at the children’s section and did handicrafts. Yes, I did cross stitches and bowling did some wood craft. It made me wonder, 10 years down the road, will all of us still meet and sit down in a round circle, doing the same crazy things again…

Soon, it was time for home and we went berserk on the almost empty train. Yes, we took more pictures and it was funny. More meet ups shall we?

29th Feb
It’s the LEAP year!!!!!!!!!!! Comes every 4 years!!! Woohoo!!!! Hahhahaa… ok ok… so on this leap year…

Met Mr.Cookie. after his school ended and we went on a day tour. First stop was ICA to collect my new passport. We had a shock when we got our queue number cos’ there were like 105 people ahead of me. Luckily, the system was pretty efficient and I didn’t have to wait very long. Walked down to beach road for lunch. I had this pepper loaded ikan bilis fried rice, which tasted quite good, but a little too spicy.

We then drove down to the next stop – Mustafa Centre. It was our virgin visit. The mall was HUGE! It’s like a everything-under-one-roof kind of shopping centre. However, things were not ridiculously cheap like what everyone has being lamenting about. It’s actually quite close to market pricing. I bought a calculator there though. Their pay first, collect later buying system sort of intrigues me. You tell the staff what you want, they write down the product code on a piece of pink paper, you bring the pink paper to the cashier, bring the receipt back to the counter, and then you get your purchase.

We went up to the grocery section and I saw this GIANT size cornflakes. It’s about the size of a 5kg detergent box. Who would eat so much cornflakes? Hahaha*

Spent around an hour or so there and we drove down to Funan, which was quite near, to get my external hard disk for my data backup. Mr.Cookie. got himself a cheap watch. Was so tired I fell asleep in the car.

Went to Vivo City to watch the Leap Years at GV max. Nice show but not tear triggering. Saw a couple of people crying though. The show played a lot of Corraine May’s songs. Nice!!!

Met up with the Royalties. Another impromptu meetup. Velda came late because she had church and left early cos’ she has family dinner. Xiuhui brought us to this place in Bugis that sells delicious and cheap food. Shall bring mum and dad one day. Didn’t take much pictures cos’ it was a wet and rainy afternoon.

5th March
Our 77th monthniversary. I don’t remember doing anything special on that day, just a short lunch together. Despite that, still love you plenty. More to come yes? Huggs*

Went to have my haircut, with Mr.Cookie. accompanying me (realised we’ve been meeting a lot heh*). And because we were early, we walked around town shopping for stuffs. And I decided to bring my geeky specs out today and had some fun with it. It was a long but enjoyable day.

Life’s pretty much the same, except that I have more free time to meet my friends, to slot in more sessions of tuition and also to spend more time with my loves. Pictures will be up once my new hard disk arrive.

I am so irritated that I need to change my plans for tomorrow because ICA can only give me my passport on Friday. Urgh**

This afternoon, I had the most interesting video conferencing with Mr.Cookie.’s nephew. Hahah* He’s really adorable, one of the few cuter ones I’ve seen so far. Here’s an excerpt of how it goes..

And after dinner, we had desserts at Swensens – our EARTHQUAKE!!! *slurps* Ate like a pigg.

Then after dinner, we went to the arcade to de-stress. It was fun-o-fun!!! We played many many games and screamed a lot too. I just love spending time with these 2 crazy people. More outings please even though it’s end of the semester le! I don’t wanna stop seeing you… hahaha so emo!!!

And now that I’m free from all commitments, I wanna make a list of to-dos for this break. These are the things I need and MUST do:

1.to replace my passport
2.learn to cook some nice tasty thai and korean food
3.get into a course in the uni

CNY Day 1:
Slept super late cos’ I “shou shui-ed” (a routine where the child stays up on the eve of CNY till the dawn of CNY, which is believed to prolong your parents’ lives). Woke up super early, cos’ was expecting Uncle’s family to visit. Got a call instead, and heard news that they couldn’t make it this year cos’ my aunt was admitted to the hospital for some reasons. Glad she’s feeling better now. So, the family (minus DaJie who went to Japan for a holiday) got dressed and ready for visiting at my Grandmother’s place. Lunch was as usual, my favourite steamboat. After that, headed to ErGu’s place and then to DaGu’s place.

CNY Day 2:
Supposed to wake up early to help mum whip up a feast for the guests coming to our place but I overslept. Heh. I helped a bit la, a teeny weeny bit. Guests started arriving and soon, the house was filled with not less than 30 peeps I think. It was chaotic, like every other year. They lunched and we dressed up, got ready to go visiting at my Uncle’s place. And when evening came, Mr.Cookie. picked me up and we went for a dinner at PS Manhattan Fish Market. Still prefer Fish and Co. though. After dinner, it was CJ7 with Shatish.

CNY Day 5:
Went back to school with Deafy and Bowling. We reached school early hoping to take some time to study for the exams but ended up playing with my camera. It was a wasteful but really fun day.

Then 430pm came and we walked to the stadium for our Napfa test. It’s been close to 3 years since I last took a fitness test and true enough, my fitness deteriorate like nothing. I couldn’t perform for Standing Board Jump and of cos’ my 2.4 run. It was sad but at least I completed the run.

When we thought we were all ready…we did jumping warm ups…and took a clean picture…

only to know we failed terribly… haha*

And of cos’ just yesterday, which was St.Valentine’s Day, I met up with Mr.Cookie. for a short dinner. Promised him a belated celebration after my exams. Sorry dear, can’t really spend Valentine’s together cos’ I need to STUDEE!! So sad right? After exams… okie? I promise. Still, we had a good dinner at JP’s Pizza Hut. Tried the love berry pizza and I personally still love Hawaiian, always my ALL.TIME.FAVOURITE. Never take much pictures cos’ the muddle-headed me FORGOT to charge the camera. Never mind, the belated celebration. Still…Love you FOREVER MR.Cookie.You’re my ONLY my only one…

Not that I want to neglect blogging. Have been devoting time for studies. Just done with RMW paper yesterday. Anyhoos, just some pictures update.

Went for my super last minute Chinese New Year shopping last weekend and also to offer prayers at Bugis. Of cos’, under Mr.Cookie.’s company. And because Bugis was FLOODED with human traffic, we decided to go down to Cityhall instead. Bought some neccesities for CNY (underwear la) and also settled my cravings for Billy Bombers cheese fries. Mr.Cookie.’s student saw us, Alan saw me too.

After Billy Bombers, we walked down to Esplanade via that underpass link from Citylink. It’s been quite a while since we walked down that lane. Checked out Esplanade after 93749284742872927 years. Quite a lot of changes here and there. Apparently, they are doing some revamps. Probably due to the upcoming IR. And both of us think that Esplanade is not longer romantic anymore. Shan’t state the *sensitive* reason.

Yesterday, after I finished my paper, I met Mr.Cookie. again. Since he ends school at only 230pm, I decided to do my nails, do some random shopping, went for coffee and also, played with my camera functions while waiting for him. Check out what I did…

Minutes before I met up with Mr.Cookie., I met Velda. She went to BBDC to register for driving and she saw me at the MRT station. So nice seeing her on a random day. Can’t wait to see her and the Royalties this coming Saturday. Again!

And not forgetting that very important occasion, yes, our 76th months together. As usual, love you baby*

Mr.Cookie. ordered a fish and chips. I wanted the cajun chicken burger but it was out of stock, so I settled for a fish burger with melted cheese. Yummy yummy yummy!!! The food portions are really big and luckily I didn’t order the set with the fries. And to my surprise, I actually finished the burger alone! No help from Mr.Cookie. at all. Hehe*

And half of yesterday was also spent with Mr.Cookie. where we headed to town in the afternoon. I think the weather is really freaky nowadays. One moment it looks like it’s gonna rain, and at the other, the sun is scorching hot! Weird. Wanted to shop for my CNY clothes and shoes, but because of the crowd, the idea was put off.

We took a bus down to Suntec and dropped by Millenia Walk which had some fish exhibition going on. The fishes are all shaped in a queer manner and Mr.Cookie. says they look mutated. It was indeed an eye-opener for fish amateurs like us. Haha* Check them out…

Around evening, we left for a bbq at one of his council guys’ place. It was supposed to be a council boys and their WAGS kind of affair, but the sad case was only me and Weichang’s girlfriend turned up. Nonetheless, it was fun fun fun. And so, I was up and early today to attend the RMW revision lecture which starts at 9am. And I totally hate morning train rides because it can be such a bother. I was standing on the MRT platform and waiting for the train. The first train came I sort of predicted that I couldn’t get on since I was standing at the back of the queue. I moved forward and when the second train came, that’s when the disaster happened. There was this lady who thinks she’s so slim started pushing herself on me just so she could get on the train before me. Urgghhh!!! I swear I almost hit the moving train la. And the thing is she got onto the train, while yours truly was stranded outside the train. I only got onto the third train after 30 minutes of waiting. I was lucky I got to school on time!!

Enough of whining, the class took a class photo yesterday after tutorial. First time in my 2 years of poly life I took a class pic. It was such classic cos’ it was taken by MY camera. Heh* Here’s a peek of it.

After dinner, we went Holland Village to do some late night grocery shopping. It was double-Oh-fun! I love grocery shopping with Mr.Cookie. and we took every opportunity to snap snap. Heh* And seeing all the Chinese New Year goodies on the shelves, it reminds me that CNY is nearing! Not that I can’t wait to go visiting, I’m actually more interested and excited about the good food that awaits. Okay, I admit, I’m a Glutton! But so what? Food is Love.

Wonder why I’m up so early in the morning when I only have class at 1pm? I got this tremendous pain on my tooth and it’s causing me to lose sleep. In fact, I went without sleep for 2 days in a row already- 48 hours! It’s a RECORD!

1) I will not lie – it’s a fact that people tell a couple of lies through the year, white lies I call them. Not that we want to lie, but if lying can make your world a better place, why not?

2) I will not complain – complaining is a way to let off your frustrations, anger and fears. Keeping it to yourself will only hurt your inner soul, leading to tiredness, anxiety and depression. So, never hesitate to talk to someone (usually someone who loves you) about the problems you face. If they love you, they will understand.

3) I will not gossip – we all have to admit that gossiping is an entertaining hobby. Sometimes, such gossips can be enlightening too because it allows ourselves to see the different faces of people, allowing us to judge a situation and come out with a just conclusion. So, who says it’s wrong to gossip now?

4) I will not exceed 1200 calories – Malnutrition can lead to more fine lines and wrinkles! Like the rest of your body, the skin needs their dosage of nutrients in order to glow. The key is not to over-eat! Say cheers to good food people!

I feel blessed cos’ we hold such sisterly friendship and the bond is always so strong. I love them for who they are and who they have been. I thank god for allowing me to meet such “sisters” that I know I can depend on for life.

December is the month one of my favourite Royalty turned 21. Yes, the last one among us to go into adulthood and she is none other but Velda Chua. She hosted her party at Grand Corpthorne. The Royalties, Kelly, Tok, Weeping and Robin were invited. Oh definitely, what’s a party without pictures? We snapped snapped all the way and laughed laughed all the way. I think it was last Friday, WeiChang planned a rather impromptu Christmas meetup that involved part of BNOGS and of cos’ the Royalties. We had fun at the Settler’s. The reservation got screwed up and affected most of our mood, but we got over it quickly and get down to games games games. And for sure, we had our deal of presents exchange. I got a cup from Mr.Cookie. which was something I got on behalf of him from Tangs. This meetup was rare but it was fun fun fun* More of such yes? Yeah!

Good night Mr.Cookie.!

The year has been pretty eventful; its one that has many obstacles that I believe, some are still present. It has been a really rocky journey and definitely not an easy one. It’s obvious that I’ve transformed from that chirpy little girl to a quiet, reserved woman. That optimistic me is dying out and the pessimistic devil is evolving. Not that I’ve lost hopes in things, but it’s more of getting tired of fighting those little wars ahead.

Despite that, I still hold on to that strong will to move on, to make things alright for my life again. I may look like I’m losing faith, but no, that’s definitely not true. I’ll never believe in giving up and and am sure to hold on to my stand no matter what. But sometimes, that little amount of strength never seemed enough.

I always tell myself that there’s always a darker and a brighter side of things. Most of the time, it depends on how we look at it. Whether or not we move on the brighter side, it depends on how we use that little amounts of strength to make life better for us.

So, now that Christmas is coming, remember to take note of those around you, remember to use that little strength you hold to make them happy, even if it means little gestures of saying “I love you” to your family, your partner and friends – it’ll be more than enough. Cos’ when they are happy, they change your life.

And just last week, me and Mr.Cookie.  checked out The Leisure Park at Kallang. The place is still not yet done up, little shops were opened. Getting there was a hassle, because, when we alighted at the Kallang Mrt station, we had to take another bus before we get there. It’s quite close to the Kallang National Stadium.

On a higher note, there is a bowling and ice skating place — yes.. Leisure Park, i thank that’s how the name came about. Stayed there for a while before we took a bus down to Bedok and Tampines.

Skipped school on Friday and together with Mr.Cookie., who has gotten the car for the weekend, headed to Holland Village to get the necessities – my golden and silver and singing ELMO balloons, and my SHINY stars streamers. Following that, we headed straight down to Changi, NSRCC. Checked in at 2pm, scanned the place a bit and rested before we did some setting and cleaning up.

Waited patiently for the Usuals to come by. However, at around 5 plus 6, Mr.Cookie. got a call from Willie telling us that they couldn’t make it cos’ they need to rush down to the train station that night. Damn! I thought they were joking but when I heard the news from Ade, my heart sunk, almost immediately. I bid them goodbye, hung up the call, and can’t help but feel sad. Tears welled up. Mr. Cookie. suggested that we hit the mall just so I could cheer up, so we headed for Tampines.

After a while of walking, I decided that I really had no mood to do any shopping and so, we went back to the resort. Was kind of quiet on the journey back and I guess I made Mr.Cookie. worried quite a bit. Reached the resort and WHAM* I’ve got PUNK’ED!

I screamed at the sounds of bursting balloons, party poppers and the shouts of the Usuals. They were all standby in their gears, waiting for me. Nope! I didn’t cry this time. Too shocked for that =) It was too much of a pleasant surprise.

Anyways, after that, we monopoly-ed and pizza-ed a bit. The night was a bit short but it was GREAT. Thanks guys for putting this up, just for me!

Mr. Cookie. sent them back and left behind was me, Cookie and Shatish spending the night together. The boys counter-striked as usual, while I disturbed them. Forced them to put on face masks with me and it was fun fun FUN! Real fun.

The day has come. Woke up, chilled and made breakfast for the boys. Got them to accompany me to Tampines to get my hair done. But but but… I didn’t really like the style so I changed it on my own, to something VERY simple.

We hurried and washed up after we got the balloons blown and hung up. I was lucky I had “walking ladders ” around, thus, that made the job much easier. Ironed their clothes and waited for the caterer to come.

Soon, the food affair was set up. My family arrived and then the guests.

I have to say, the party was really a test to my PR skills. I had to handle so many different groups and it was really tiring. Halfway through, I was telling Mr.Cookie. that I am very tired!!!!

Happy birthday to ME!!!

Woke up VERY early to check out. Reached home, had a good talk with Mum and I cried. Yes, on my 21st. It was heartening and what she said touched my heart deeply. Thanks Ma!!! For understanding and for the encouragements!! Thanks.

Napped and got ready for Kelly’s 21st birthday bash which was held at her Uncle’s place. The place is GORGEOUS!!!!! Ate and took many many pictures with the Royalties and Tok. Kelly was too busy that night entertaining her guests so we made ourselves comfortable. Don’t worry girl, we understand*

Just last week, we had an advance celebration with Bowling at her place for her 19th. Mouse was absent due to work commitments. We had a good dinner, good card game, and also good photo-taking session. Her birthday’s on the coming Wednesday. Had also been up and running preparing for my birthday party. Got calls from quite a number of friends saying that they can’t come due to last minute appointments and Uni commitments that they have. Was quite upset about it, but I’m glad I’ve gotten over it.. I think…

School’s been busy but good. Had my recent Data Gathering Call and I was pretty satisfied with the results I’ve got. These are the break downs.

The next coming challenge will be the Sales Call. Shall work hard for that so that I’ll ace this module.

On a side note, my skin is dry and flaky and I peel like a banana. The sun burns are ruining my skin and I worry that it will not clear by this Saturday. Let’s hope for the best.
